Generally it’s The Few that get the tributes, and rightly so for their brave actions. But to me The Many deserve equal tribute, those on the ground whose work was critical to the Battle. In particular I always remember the plotters and radar operators and also the members of the Observer Corps who manned their posts 24/7. Both were the eyes and ears of the Battle, allowing the fighters to be scrambled to intercept the enemy waves. Thank you.
