We owe a great debt to all those whose served and sacrificed during the Battle of Britain, from those who paid the ultimate price, to those whose lives were changed irreparably. Whilst that debt can never be repaid, we can see to it that their example and experiences endure across generations. I’ve always been incredibly proud that my Grandparents served in the Second World War. Listening to their stories and protecting their legacy is something that is hugely important to me. As we mark 85 years since the Battle of Britain, I will be reflecting with gratitude on the incredible bravery and sacrifice of all those who served then, as well as those who continue to serve today.
