Remembering my father 565216 Ralph (Dinger) Bell and his best friend 565201 Marmaduke (Dukie) Ridley who travelled down from Newcastle together to RAF Halton to join the RAF as boy entrants. My father lived until he was 90 but Dukie lost his life on 26.08.1940. RIP to those brave men.
Support for the RAF community
We believe every generation owes a debt of gratitude to the RAF and their families. They continue to protect the peace and safety we all enjoy every day. It’s our job to make sure everyone who has served in the RAF, and their loved ones, gets help and support when they need it most.
